McTominay bid rejected

The Athletic: Manchester United have rejected an offer from West Ham for midfielder Scott McTominay. The bid was £30m but the Old Trafford club aren't interested in selling the player.

There is, however, an asking price. Put over £40m on the table and Man United would talk, rather than reject the offer cleanly as they have here. It remains to be seen whether West Ham would be willing to pay that, though.

Erik ten Hag wants to keep McTominay this season but would view £40m+ as too good an offer to pass up. This one may have a little ways to go, but as things stand, the Scot will remain at Old Trafford.

Maguire deal agreed in principle

Fabrizio Romano: West Ham matched their £30m Scott McTominay bid with an identical offer for Harry Maguire. That one was also rejected initially, but it appears the two clubs have come to an agreement.

Romano says that personal terms are set to be discussed after Sky Sports revealed the two clubs had reached a deal over a fee, with the structure of the deal still to be thrashed out.

Maguire could still be a West Ham player by the end of the transfer window.

Schuurs price set

Calciomercato: West Ham are one of three Premier League sides interested in signing Perr Schuurs from Torino this summer. Crystal Palace have actually made an offer, in fact, but their £25m bid fell short of his valuation.

Torino want closer to £34m if they're to sell Schuurs this summer. West Ham and Liverpool are now waiting in the wings and deciding whether to make an offer of around that price.

And West Ham may even hold an advantage there. They've got the cash, and unlike the Reds, could offer Schuurs regular first-team football from the get-go. The player would arguably need to work hard to break into Liverpool's starting XI.

Hammers to bid for Šutalo

TuttoMercatoWeb (via Fiorentina News): West Ham are 'ready to put €20m' down in order to sign Dinamo Zagreb centre-back Josip Šutalo.

As relayed by Sport Witness, TuttoMercatoWeb director Niccolo Ceccarini namechecked the Hammers alongside three other high-profile clubs when speaking to Radio Toscana about the potential transfer of the Croatia international.

Ceccarini said: “For Sutalo there are four clubs ready to put at least €20m for the player. From Leipzig, to Arsenal, West Ham and Ajax.”

The 23-year-old made 36 appearances across all competitions for Zagreb last term, scoring three goals, helping his side win the Croatian title.

The Hammers are known to be in the market for a centre-back and have tested Manchester United's resolve with a £20m bid for Harry Maguire, although that bid was ultimately rejected.
